Monika Sue Koehler of Sullivan, MO passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the age of 78 years.  She was born April 16, 1946, in Kirchberg, Germany; the daughter of Adolf Koehler and his wife, Frieda (Schuerlein).

Monika was preceded in death by her parents, Adolf and Frieda Koehler; three siblings: Guenther Koehler, Adolf Koehler, and Hannelore Schmidt; and one grandson, Patrick Garrison.

She is survived by three children: Robert W. Garrison and wife Maureen of De Soto, Karren Garrison of Festus, and Michael Garrison of Festus; her very best friend, Susan Devine of Sullivan; one sister, Ingeborg Miller and husband John of Crestview, FL; eight grandchildren: Samantha Garrison, Nicole Garrison, Matthew Garrison, Brittany Davis, Tiffany Davis, Andrew Davis, Tyler Hagerty, and Madalyn Garrison; four great-grandchildren: Coraline, Dawson, Ezra, and Azarya; and many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at The Gathering Room in De Soto, MO.

Memorials in honor of Monika Koehler can be made to the Missouri Botanical Garden.
