Michael A. Simmons, age 77, of Union, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on September 27, 2026. He was born on April 28, 1949, in Ellisville, Missouri.

Michael was united in marriage to Marianne (Skiles) Simmons on June 28, 1975, in Creve Coeur, Mo. They shared 51 years of marriage and many wonderful memories together.

Michael proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was also a dedicated Past Boy Scout leader with Troop 442 and was a member of the Gateway Miata Car Club.

He worked for many years at O’Reilly Auto Parts, where he served as the general manager. Michael enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life, including camping, fishing, sports cars and he had a great love for motorcycles and has ridden to 48 States and 6 Canadian Provinces. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and sharing his love of the outdoors and automobiles with others.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Marianne Simmons of Union, Mo; his sons, Mike (Ashley) Simmons of Hudson, Ohio, and Patrick (Frizz) Simmons of Gerald, Mo; and his grandchildren, Ethan, Sean, Connor, and Liberty.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In accordance with Michael’s wishes, his body was donated for anatomical study and education to Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
