Michael Reed, of Winfield, formerly from Hermann, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025, at the age of 81.  He was born in Greenville, Ohio, on July 26, 1943, son of Russell and Lillian (Ingle) Reed.  He married Beverly "Carol" Prater, December 31, 1983.

He was proud of his nearly 50 years of sobriety.  Mike volunteered for several years at the Mideast Area on Aging and had served as a Deacon at Newport Presbyterian Church.

Mike had a passion for playing poker and enjoyed fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his many grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly "Carol" Reed; parents, Russell and Lillian Reed; sister, Judy Bashore; two grandchildren, Brittani Young and Elizabeth Kay Reed.

Mike is survived by four sons, Cary Reed of Hermann, Gregory Reed and wife Cindy of Texas, Russ Reed and wife Kathy of Winfield, Allen McClain and wife Marlo of Owensville; two daughters, Michelle Sanders and husband Neil of Ohio, Angie Young of Ohio; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; sister, Becky Clifton of Ohio; nephew who was like a son, Chris Clifton; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
