Michael E. Baker, 74, of Union formerly of Lansing, Michigan passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at his home.

Michael, son of Eugene Baker and Dorothy Downey was born June 17, 1947, in Lansing, Michigan.

Michael was a member of the Independent Freedom Riders in Lansing, Michigan. He enjoyed woodworking, antiquing, playing poker and riding Harley Davidson's. He was known for being a frequent patron of AD Auction. Most of all he loved spending time with friends and family.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Baker; his mother, Dorothy Downey; his wife, Debra Ann Baker and one brother, John Risk.

He is survived by three children, Shane Wiltshire of Grand Rapids, MI, Michael C. Baker and wife Alicia of Washington and Kala Inman and husband Justin of Union; two brothers, Thomas Downey and William Downey both of Lansing, MI; two sisters, Judy Woods of Lansing, MI and Dolly Pangborn and husband Gary of East Jordan, MI; eight grandchildren, Shane Wiltshire, Teagan Wiltshire, Takoda Wiltshire, Allen Michael Baker, Mia Baker, Matty Inman, Samuel Inman and Seth Inman; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
