Melvin O. Huff, 84, of Lonedell, passed away peacefully on Friday April 1, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Melvin was born in Lonedell on January 20, 1938 to Thomas and Ossie Huff nee Carter.

He received his education at St. Clair High School and graduated class of 1955.

He was united in marriage to Mary Lou nee Munn on March 24, 1956 and shared 66 years together.

Melvin worked as a firefighter at the Olivette Fire Department and retired with over 30 years of service. After his retirement he volunteered with St. Clair Fire Protection District.

He was a faithful lifelong member of Prospect Baptist Church in Lonedell.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Ossie Huff; two brothers, Robert Huff and Marvin Huff and four sisters, Hazel Schoeneman, Donna Stalhman, Pamela Bachmann and infant sister Lorrain Huff.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Huff of the home; four children, Karen Jobe and husband Frank of Lonedell, Clayton Huff and wife Lisa of Lonedell, Michael Huff and wife Patricia of Fulton and Monica Siess and fiancé Keith Adams of St. Clair; one sister, Helen Moraga of Rancho Cordova, California; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews; great and great-great nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends
