Mattison "Matty" Johnson of St. Louis, MO passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 3, 2025, at the age of 16 years.

Matty was preceded in death by her grandparents: Debra Wallace, Melinda Johnson, and Matthew Kirk.

She is survived by her parents, Nichole Pettis of St. Louis, and Matthew Pettis of Union; one brother, Makhia Johnson of Union; five sisters: Sasha Fleming of Pacific, Sabrina Pettis of NC, Tyler Pettis of NC, Marissa Pettis of St. Louis, and Shayla Pettis of St. Louis; her best friends: Taylor Chapman, Taylor Ledford, Jenna Twine, and Annalessa Montez; and many other relatives and friends.

The family has requested that anyone attending services please wear red and black, Matty's favorite colors.

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Trishta Ann Hobson and Taylor Chapman for bringing light to the situation at hand and in their pursuit for justice for Matty.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family for funeral expenses (c/o Nichole Pettis).
