Mason Lindsey Womble, Jr., 66 of Union passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 at his home. Mr. Womble, son of the late Mason Lindsey Womble Sr. and wife Mary nee Gage was born March 11, 1948 in Newport, Arkansas. On January 13, 1967 he was united in marriage to Sandra Hall in Newport, Arkansas. Mason was of the Christian Faith and was actively attending the First Christian Church of Union. Mason had a beautiful singing voice and used it for the Glory of God. Mason loved hunting and fishing and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time with his son's and passing on his knowledge of the outdoors to them. Mason was a great mentor to many family and friends. He touched many lives all over the world. Mr. Womble was preceded in death by his parents, Mason Sr. and Mary Womble and one brother, Earl Womble. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Womble of Union; three sons, Kevin Mason Womble of Union, Jason Lindsey Womble of Union and Jay Leschniok of Laveen, Arizona; three brothers, Charles Womble and wife Carolyn of Holliday Island, Arkansas, Nick Womble and wife Dee of Clinton, MO and Tommy Womble of Searcy, Arkansas; four sisters, Mary Schroeder and husband Bill of Holliday Island, Arkansas, Shirley Stroud of Dexter, Michigan, Dorothy Tracy and companion Johnny Love of Evening Shade, Arkansas and Janice Tate and husband Thomas of Union; aunts; uncles; numerous nieces and nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
