Mary Roberta Lane nee Ryan, 91, of Bourbon passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at her home.
Mrs. Lane, daughter of the late Peter Ryan and wife Marie nee Devins was born July 12, 1926 in Jamaica, New York.
In September of 1944 Mary was united in marriage to the late Louis J. Lane in Rochester, New York.
Mary was born in Jamaica, New York and raised in Richmond Hill, New York. Mary and Louis raised their family in Rochester and Fillmore, New York. She was a American Gold Star Mother. In 1976 Mary and Louis moved their family to Englewood, Florida. Prior to living in Bourbon, Mary lived in Sarasota, Florida for 16 years at Casa Santa Marta, a Catholic retirement community where she left many friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Marie Ryan; her husband, Louis J. Lane; one son, Louis Michael Lane and a daughter-in-law, Patricia Sue Lane.
Mary is survived by her five children, J. Patrick Lane and wife Jackie of Stanton, Deborah Lane of Bourbon, Mark J. Lane of Bourbon, Mary Lou DiMaggio of Sarasota, Florida and Teresa Marie Lane of Rochester, New York; two brothers, Peter Ryan and wife Heather of Tequesta, Florida and Richard Ryan and wife Barbara of West Port, Connecticut; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-six great- grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.Funeral Services for Mary Roberta Lane
