Mary Alice Kreft-Jenkins, of Union, MO passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the age of 88 years. She was born in Golden City, MO on November 3, 1936, to the union of Leslie and Alice (Aton) O'Brien.

Mary was a member of First Baptist Church of Union, where she had taught Sunday school and the Sun Beams. She also volunteered at the Franklin County Baptist Association and was a charter member of the Franklin County Historical Society. Mary was a people person, with her faith and family being a very important part of her life.

In her spare time, she enjoyed antiquing, bird watching, mushroom hunting, picking berries, harvesting walnuts, gardening, raising flowers and doing jig saw puzzles.  Mary loved to travel, especially to Ireland of which she was able to visit four times, and she loved to tell everyone of the beauty of each trip.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Alice O'Brien; two husbands: Rolland Kreft and Robert Jenkins; four brothers: Charles O'Brien, Oren O'Brien, Wayne O'Brien, and Alan O'Brien; and one sister, Virginia Litle.

She is survived by her two daughters: Doris "Sherry" Clark and husband Roger of Union, and Karen Bryan and husband Robert of Union; one sister, Edith Hites of Golden City; one sister-in-law, Phylis Eileen O'Brien of Odessa; two grandchildren: Sarah Daniele and husband Daniel of Union, and Jared Clark of Union; three great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
