Mary Elizabeth Garner (McGath), 99 of New Haven passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019 in New Haven.

Mary, daughter of Mardie McGath and wife Bertha (Miller) was born May 22, 1920 in Portageville, Missouri.

She enjoyed reading, gardening and growing flowers at her home. She took great joy in being a host and cooking for family and friends on special occasions.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Mardie and Bertha McGath; her husband, Dallis Garner; one daughter, Mary Ruth Abernathy and five brothers and sisters.

She is survived by two sons, David Garner and wife Donna of New Haven and Bryan Garner and wife Sheryl of Auxvasse; five daughters, Betty Lawson and husband Monroe of Ironton, Fay Melton of Fort Myers, FL, Carrol Schaper and husband Art of Troy, Sue Mans and husband Mike of Jefferson City and Brenda Lindsey of Valley Park; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren; fourteen great-great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations to Ride for Kids Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation are preferred.
