Mary Earney of Washington, MO was born November 13, 1946 in Granite City, IL; the daughter of Earl Werner and his wife, Mildred (Bush).  Mary passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the age of 76 years.  She received her education from Granite City High School, graduating in the class of 1964.  Mary was united in marriage to Timothy Earney on December 1, 1967 and two children blessed their marriage.  She worked as a homemaker, taking pride in caring for her family. Mary enjoyed crafting, drawing, reading, and crossword puzzles.  She also loved her pets, especially her cats and dogs.  The time she cherished most was the time spent with her family and friends, and she will be dearly missed.

Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Timothy Earney; her parents: Earl Werner, and Mildred Bush Taylor and husband Bill; and one sister, Judy Werner.

She is survived by one son, Patrick Earney and significant other, Janette Klein of Columbia, MO; one daughter, Anne Earney and husband Eric Janssen of St. Louis; one brother, Alan Werner and significant other, Joanie Brueggemann of Wood River, Il; and many other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Midlawn Funeral Home in Union, MO.

Inurnment will be held privately at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis, MO.

Memorials in honor of Mary Earney may be made to the American Lung Association.
