Mary Jean Cole of Washington, MO passed away surrounded by the family she loved so dearly on May 15, 2026. Mary lived a beautiful life, centered around the people who meant the most to her.
Mary was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and the most cherished “MiMi” you could ever hope to have. Her greatest joy in life came from caring for her family, laughing with her children, and making memories with her grandchildren. She had a gift for making everyone around her feel loved, valued, and special, she gave that gift freely and without hesitation to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth & Maxine Johnson; sister Patti Johnson; and In-Laws Gene & Martha Cole.
She is survived by her loving husband Craig Cole of Washington; her children April (Christopher) Compton of Washington, Megan (Jacob) Heitmann of Washington, Brandon (Amanda) Cole of Villa Ridge, and Kayla (Brandon) Brown of Pacific. Her cherished grandchildren Ian, Roland, Leonna, Gwen, Natalie, Ella, and Willow. Siblings Ken & Brenda Johnson, Tom & Nancy Musolf, Liz Massey, and Jeff & Valerie Cole, as well as, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and the many children who were lucky enough to call her their “MiMi.”
Mary had a way of lighting up every room she entered with her kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched and her memory will forever be treasured by all who knew and loved her.
