Martin "Doc" Loyd of Union, Missouri, was born June 5, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri; the son of Milford Loyd and his wife, Dora (Nevills). Doc passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the age of 69 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Milford and Dora Loyd; and four siblings, Donna Thurmond, Don Loyd, Victoria Casey, and Mary Kline.

Doc is survived by seven siblings, Les "Bud" Loyd, of Union, Della Cooper and husband Gene, of Eureka, Robert Loyd, of Treloar, Velma Strubberg, of Salem, Ronnie Loyd, of Union, Betty Horn, of Sullivan, and Lucinda Abbit and husband Marc, of Union; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
