Martin Giesing, 83, of Union, passed away, Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at his home.

On January 26, 1938, Martin was born to the union of Sterling Giesing and Irene (Hobelmann) in Union.

Martin attended St. Francis Borgia Catholic School in Washington.

In his free time, he worked extensively on his family's genealogy dating back to several generations.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sterling Giesing and Irene Giesing (Dunakin).

Martin is survived by two sons, John Giesing of Union and David Giesing and wife Kim of Union; brother, Richard Giesing of Union; sister, Mary Hill of Florida; two grandchildren, Amber Brandt and husband Joshua of Bland and Brandon Giesing of Union; two great-grandchildren, Chase and Greyson Brandt of Bland; two nephews, Chad Giesing and wife Judy of Washington and Nathan Hill of Florida; other relatives and many friends.
