Obituary

Marion A. Nixon (Cone), 78, of Sullivan, passed away, Friday, April 29, 2022, at her home surrounded by
her loving family.


On July 27, 1943, Marion was born to the union of Marion Cone and Mary (Lynn) in Astoria, Oregon.
Marion graduated from Marshall High School in Coos Bay, Oregon and received her associates degree
from Clark College in Portland.


She was united in marriage on August 31, 1963, to Fred Nixon in Coos Bay, Oregon.
Marion was a proud pilot, serving as Lieutenant Commander for the Civil Air Patrol.
She worked for Carter Carburetor and Purex.


Marion enjoyed sewing, baking and singing. She loved gardening and tending to her flowers. Marion also
liked collecting knick-knacks, better known as her "pretties". Most of all Marion loved her family and
friends very much and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Mary Cone; one son, Charles Edward Nixon; her
sister, Ann.

Marion is survived by her husband of 58 years, Fred Nixon of Sullivan; two sons, Richard Nixon and
partner Todd Eller of Florida and Freddie Nixon Jr. and wife Connie of Sullivan; two brothers, Norman
Cone of Sullivan and Melvin cone and wife Sandra of Nevada; five grandchildren, Brandie Nixon and
fiancé Tyler Luker of Bourbon, Brittnie Kolbush of Beaufort, Benjamen Nixon of Sullivan, Brian Nixon and
fiancé Jospehine Bertulfo of Sullivan and Bradley Nixon of Sullivan; six great-grandchildren, Jacob
Schuler, Curtis Luker, Dominick Luker, Aaliyah Luker, Enoch Eckelkamp and Zechiah Gregory; nieces;
nephews other relatives and many friends.
