Marilynn Jeanette Creek (Martin), 89, of Villa Ridge passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 in Creve Coeur.

Marilynn, daughter of James Martin and wife Irene (Beard) was born March 19, 1932 in Kirkwood.

She had a green thumb, always planting flowers and working in her garden. She loved to cook and was especially known for her homemade cinnamon rolls. She enjoyed playing cards and working puzzles.

Grandma had a lead foot and was often referred to as "Hot Rod Grandma".

Marilynn was a very caring and giving person. She never passed up the opportunity to help someone in need.

Mrs. Creek was preceded in death by her parents, James and Irene Martin; two sons, Paul Ivan Barker Jr. and Gary Wayne Barker; one son in infancy, Marvin Barker; one daughter, Teresa Pauline Barker and five brothers Jimmy Martin, John Martin, Bud Martin, Bobby Martin, Richard Martin.

She is survived by one son, William Barker and wife Rebecca of Sullivan; three daughters, Judith Irene Barker of Villa Ridge, Cynthia Jeanette Grob and husband Gary of Union and Sonya Ranae Fields and husband Joseph of Cedar Hill; three brothers, Jerry Martin and wife Judith of Stanton, Gordon Martin and wife Betty of Boise, Idaho and Lonnie Martin and wife Terrie of Dittmer; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations to the American Kidney Fund are preferred.
