Obituary

Marilyn Frances Faszold, 81, passed away peacefully at her home on October 27, 2026. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on August 19, 1945, Marilyn made her home in Pacific, where she built a life centered on family, hard work, and the simple things that brought her joy.

Marilyn married Robert Stephen “Steve” Faszold in Pacific, Missouri. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who treasured time spent with the people she loved. She was always supportive and involved in the lives of her family.

Marilyn attended Lindenwood College and East Central College. Throughout her working life, she worked as a personal banker at Village Bank, which later became Central Bank. She also worked at William J. Wolf Hardware, her family’s business in Pacific.

In her free time, Marilyn enjoyed tending to her flowers, caring for animals, camping, and spending time near the water and lakes. She was happy outdoors and even enjoyed cutting the grass. Marilyn’s greatest happiness came from her family, especially her grandchildren Dalton and Sam. She was their biggest fan and fixture at every activity, game, and milestone. Marilyn loved nothing more than being surrounded by them, sharing in their hobbies, and creating lasting memories with them, just as she had for her children. Her beloved dogs, Lucy, Daisy, and Hank, held a special place in her heart and were cherished companions.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, Steve Faszold of Pacific, Missouri; her son, Jason Faszold of Pacific, Missouri; and her daughter, Deanna (Dan) Stoltz of Pacific, Missouri. She also leaves behind her two beloved grandchildren, Dalton (fiancée Kassidy Lee) Stoltz, and Sam Stoltz, all of Pacific, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, William John Wolf and Mary Frances (Black) Wolf.

Marilyn attended Catawissa Union Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society or the American Cancer Society, causes that reflect her love for animals and care for others.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Midlawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Midlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements in care of Midlawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, Union.
