Marie (Husted) Gumpenberger, 70, of Villa Ridge, passed away, Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Washington.

On November 13, 1951, Marie was born to the union of Lee Husted and Mary (Breen) in Ottawa, Illinois.

She received her education in St. Louis.

Marie worked for First Student as a driver.

She loved reading, watching her favorite shows, N.C.I.S., Bones, Criminal Minds, C.S.I. and Big Bang Theory. She enjoyed the company of her cats and most of all cherished spending time with her family and friends. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Mary Husted; one son, Joshua Daniel; one sister, Susan Russell.

She is survived by her loving husband, David Gumpenberger of Villa Ridge; one son, Donald Ezell of Villa Ridge; two daughters, Christina Weisbruch of Villa Ridge and Teresa Hale and husband Steven of New Haven; one sister, Pauline Thoroman and husband Frank of Illinois; three grandchildren, Sharon Brewster of Washington, Isabelle Hale of New Haven and Ethan Hale of New Haven; other relatives and many friends.
