Obituary

Mamie R. Rogers (Hinkle) 98, of Union passed away Friday, October 25, 2024 in Union.

Mamie was born September 22, 1926, in Kline, West Virginia.

As a young lady she was united in marriage to Carl Kenneth Rogers.

Mamie worked for the U.S. Navy during WWII at a torpedo factory in Alexandria, Virginia. For many years she drove a school bus for Autumn Hill School District in Union.

Mamie and her husband Carl were long-time members of the American Legion in Union. She loved the outdoors and most of all, loved her family deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Kenneth Rogers; one brother and four sisters.

Mamie is survived by four children Carl K. Rogers Jr. and wife Teresa of Centertown, MO, Patricia Goen and husband Barry of Marthasville, Michael Rogers and wife Kim of Gerald and Denise Shanks and husband Chris of Pacific; fifteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to The Wounded Warrior Project are preferred.
