Edward Clonts
September 21, 1941 – June 1, 2012
Lyle "Eddie" Clonts, 70 of Washington formerly of Sullivan passed away June 1, 2012 in St. Louis.
Mr. Clonts son of the late Jessie Clonts and wife Muriel nee Huitt was born September 21, 1941 in Steelville.
Eddie attended grade school in Steelville and high school in Bourbon. On December 19, 1960 he was united in marriage to Carol "Sue" Landing in Sullivan.
Eddie was a member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles in Sullivan since June of 1978. He worked at Pea Ridge Mines until it's closing in 1978. After the mine closing he was a Rural Route Postman in Sullivan until becoming a Welding and Agricultural Teacher for Washington High School. Mr. Clonts was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Muriel Clonts and one brother, Joe Carl Clonts.
He is survived by his wife Carol Clonts of Washington; three sons, Kent Clonts and wife Mary of Union, Kurt Clonts and special friend Christine Dunn of Yuma City, CA and Kevin Clonts and wife Gloria of Bremerton, Washington; one brother, Gary Wayne Clonts and wife Patsy of Steelville; two sisters, Joan Carol Hutson and husband Sidney of Cuba and Janet Kay Kirby of Oregon; five grandchildren, Keshia Ann Clonts, Kegan Clonts, Kris Clonts, Korey Clonts and Shannon Lee husband Donnyell; three great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
