Louise Vance nee Brawley, 85 of St. Louis passed away Monday, December 1, 2014 at Green park Nursing Home in St. Louis. Mrs. Vance, daughter of the late Guy and Eula Brawley was born March 17, 1929 in Redford, Missouri. In August of 1947 she was united in marriage to L. Jack Vance in St. Louis. She volunteered her time at Deaconess Hospital on many different levels. Also, she reconditioned dolls and made crafts to benefit many charitable organizations over the years. With her kind heart she was an adopted mother to many. In her spare time she enjoyed growing flowers and vegetables in her home garden. Mrs. Vance was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Eula Brawley; her husband, L. Jack Vance just shy of their 60th wedding anniversary; two sisters, Ruth Nash and Juanita Calvird. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Ann Moore and husband Russ of Paradise, Utah; her sister, Maxine Short of Ballwin; four grandchildren, Brian Loyd, Scott Moore and wife Lindsey, Alecia Loree Anderson and husband Justin and Skyler Moore; two great-grandchildren, Christian Loyd and Ella Loree Anderson; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
