Lonnie Smithey, Jr., of Leslie, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the age of 78. He was born in Arkansas, on October 27, 1947, the son of Lonnie Smithey, Sr. and wife, Darlies (Miller) Smithey.

Lonnie proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Smithey, Sr. and Darlies; one son, Dave Smithey; two sisters, Doris and JoAn.

Lonnie is survived by his loving wife, Jackie (Stinson) Smithey of Leslie; two sons, Lonnie Smithey, III, Mark Roe: three daughters, Geneen Roe, Kimberly Kiely, Kelly Finn and husband John; one sister, Lois Stalland and husband Ray; two brothers, Ronnie Smithey and wife Leann, Donnie Smithey and wife Linda; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
