Lonnie T. Day, 66, of Grubville passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021 in Fenton.

Lonnie was born March 3, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan.

On June 28, 1975, he was united in marriage to Pamela Ahart in Hillsboro.

Lonnie worked as a Welder at DRS Marlo Coil in High Ridge. He recently retired after 41 years of service to the industry.

He loved deer hunting and the outdoors. Lonnie and Pam would plan spontaneous trips to Montana to enjoy the mountains. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristina Roberta Day; his father, L.R. Higgins; his mother, Tinna Day; step-father, Robert Day; grandparents, G.W and Dora Varble and father-in-law, Ellis Ahart.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Day of Grubville; two daughters, Tammie Grable and husband John of St. Clair and Alisha Jones and husband Danny of Grubville; one brother, Terrie Lee Day and wife Marlene of Chandler, AZ; six grandchildren, Cody Day and fiancé Hannah, Keighlee Whitworth and husband Cameron, Colton Huddleston and wife Julie, Trenton Huddleston, Jacob Thorp and Ellise Day; two great-grandchildren, Melliody Whitworth and Leighton Day; mother-in-law, Faye Ahart of St. James; brother-in-law, Kevin Ahart and wife Robin of St. James; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Pam Day are preferred.

He will dwell with them,

and they shall be His people,

and God himself shall be with them;

He will wipe away every tear

from their eyes,

and death shall be no more,
