Lisa Voorhees, 65, of St. Clair, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026, in St. Louis. The daughter of Sharon (Olinger) Shelton and Garith “Gary” Shelton, she was born on April 11, 1961, in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Lisa was baptized as a teenager at the Church of Christ in Nauvoo, Illinois. She worked most of her life as a homemaker, being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. The love of her family was unsurpassed, and she so cherished the time that she was able to be with them.

Through the years, she enjoyed caring for her dogs, horses and other animals, knitting, assembling puzzles and craft painting, but most of all she enjoyed being outdoors.

Lisa was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Shelton; husband, Willard “Willy” Voorhees, Sr.; three brothers, Ricky Dunham, Michael Dunham and Kevin Dunham; one son-in-law, Larry Downey.

She is survived by her father, Garith “Gary” Shelton of Mount Vernon; two children, Keeley Downey of Sullivan, Willard “Willy” Voorhees, Jr. and wife Kathy of St. Clair; seven grandchildren, Dalton, Colten, Brett, Alissa, Brandon, Leland and Tanner; five great-grandchildren, Willie, Leoti, Hazel, Violet and Scarlet; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
