Lisa Marie Achens, 41 of Union, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at DeGreeff Hospice House in St. Louis.

On January 9, 1981, Lisa was born to the union of Merle "Pete" Achens and Mary (Moore) in Cahokia, Illinois.

Lisa attended both Cahokia and Union High Schools.

She was a very talented artist with her main passion for drawing. She also enjoyed watching her favorite shows on TV and listening to her boom-boom music, as her mother puts it kindly. Most of all Lisa loved her family dearly and enjoyed the time that she spent with her closest family and friends. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Merle "Pete" Achens.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Achens of Union; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations are preferred to the Franklin County Humane Society in Lisa's memory.
