Obituary

Linda M. Steffens (Brown) 81 of Labadie, passed away, Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Washington.

On June 22, 1941, Linda was born to the union of Cecil Brown and Mabel (Jobe) in Lonedell, Missouri.

Linda was graduate from Washington High School.

She was united in marriage on January 25, 1958, to George Steffens at the First Baptist Church in Gray Summit, Missouri.

Linda enjoyed reading and doing puzzles. She was a very talented cook and was best known for her blackberry cobbler. Most of all Linda loved her family very much and cherished the quality time spent with each of them. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Mabel Brown; one brother, Jerry Brown; one sister, Patricia Speakes.

Linda is survived by her husband of 64 years, George Steffens of Labadie; three sons, Robert Steffens of Labadie, Bill Steffens of Labadie and David Steffens and wife Kindy of Labadie; two daughters, Deborah Steffens of New Haven and Tammy Steffens of Labadie; one sister, Susan Bowers of Bland; five grandchildren, Shanon Emann, Heather Emann-McDaris, Dustin Fisher, Kyle Steffens and wife Amy and Genny Scott and husband Jarriel; nine great-grandchildren, Nic Kohlbush, Adrian McDaris, Nakai Scott, Owen Bentley, Lanah Bentley, Amelia Scott, Camille Steffens, Allie Scott and Carrie Steffens; great-great-grandchild, Emmitt McDaris; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
