Linda Elaine Schatz, 67, of St. Clair, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 22, 2023.

Linda, daughter of Barthlup Pierce and Alva Jean (Barton) Pierce, was born in Washington on November 15, 1955.

She was a graduate of St Clair High School.  She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Michael Schatz on February 17, 1979, at New Hope Baptist Church in Sullivan.

Linda provided a loving home for her husband and family. She was a faithful member of First Assembly of God church in St. Clair.  She enjoyed playing the piano, relaxing with a good book, embroidering, sewing, gardening and feeding birds. Most of all she greatly valued her time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Barthlup and Alva Jean Pierce; one brother, Raymond Pierce.

Linda is survived by her husband of 44 years, Michael Schatz; one daughter, Christina Friend and husband Jim of St. Clair; one son Jason Schatz and wife Jessica of St. Clair; one brother, Joe Pierce and wife Laura of Sullivan; one sister, Brenda Williams and husband Joe of Blue Springs; one granddaughter, Kayla Cameron; four bonus grandchildren, Jessica Naes, Erin Friend, Jeremiah Friend, Brittany Friend; three bonus great grandchildren, Riley Naes, Atticus Naes, Tessa Naes; nieces and nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
