Linda Gayle Messex (Shaw), 76, of St. Clair, passed away at St. Clair Nursing Center on Monday, August 8, 2022.

Linda, daughter of Thomas I. Shaw and his wife Helen (Pearson), was born March 15, 1946, In Ontario, Canada.

She began her schooling in Ontario, Canada where she was born and after her father's job at Chrysler brought the family to Missouri, she completed her education graduating from Eureka High School.

Linda enjoyed cooking home style food of which she learned from her family and passed on that passion to her daughter.  She was a proud member of the American Legion Post 347 in St. Clair for 37 years, where she served in the office of Chaplain at various times during her membership.

She loved being with her family whenever possible. In later years she greatly enjoyed watching the movies and shows on the Hallmark Channel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Helen Shaw.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Karey Conway and husband Michael, of St Clair; three grandchildren, Jessica Wilkinson and husband Billy of Virginia, Garrett Conway of Union, Gabe Conway and fiancé Kim of Union; four great grandchildren; cousins of which were like siblings to her and many friends.
