Linda Marlene Crider (Benson), 75, of Cuba, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Phelps Heath Hospital in Rolla.

Linda, daughter of Walter Benson and wife LaBerne (Curtie), was born November 30 , 1947 in East St. Louis, Illinois.

Linda married Gilbert Wynn Crider Sr., on April 5, 1968 in East Saint Louis, Illinois.

She started her career as a nurse's assistant and continued her education to become a Medical Technician, where she loved caring for others.

Linda especially enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas with her friends and drinking her favorite beverage, Diet Pepsi.  She always watched Jeopardy, rarely missing an episode which she watched with her son, Kenny in later years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and LaBerne Benson; husband, Gilbert Crider, Sr.; one sister, Patricia Stanley; one daughter, Cynthia Crowthers; one granddaughter, Samantha Cooksey; two great grandchildren, Allison Cooksey and Logan Berger; two son-in-laws, Richard Cooksey and Daniel Haoge.

Linda is survived by three sons, Gilbert Crider Jr. of Farmington, Kenny Crider of Cuba, Kevin Crider and wife Nichole of Jefferson City; two daughters, Lori Cooksey of St. Clair, Amy Hoage of Richwoods; two brothers, Michael Benson and wife Paula of Texas, Bruce Benson and wife Pam of Pacific; one sister, Barbara Benson of Villa Ridge; fifteen grandchildren, Richard Cooksey, Jennifer Cooksey, Alex Cooksey, Andy Cooksey, Abby Cooksey, Anna Cooksey, Madison Crider, Julian Crider, Corbin  Crider, Emily Hoage, Clayton Crider, Seth Crider, Brody Crider, Katlin Crider and Jada Crider; five great grandchildren; special friends, Dennis Rice and Susan Carroll; nieces; nephews; cousins and many friends.
