Linda Sue Boyer (Johnston), 74, of Washington, passed away, Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Grandview Health Care Center in Washington.

On July 12, 1948, Linda was born to the union of Vernon Johnston and Alice (Wegener) in St. Louis, Missouri.

She attended the Ellisville School District.

Linda was of the Baptist faith and attended services as much as she could.

She worked in hospitality offering her kind smile and stellar work ethic in various hotels and restaurants.

Linda loved gardening and tending to her flowers. Even with the cold winters and lack of foliage, Linda would spruce up her home and curb appeal with artificial flowers to add color back into the frigid winter backdrop. Having a good time with family and friends is what she looked forward to the most. She had a special place in her heart for her animals, especially her dogs and cats. Most of all, Linda loved her family and the endless memories made with all of them. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Alice Johnston; two brothers, Virvin Lee Johnston and Donnie Johnston; six sisters, Alice Lorraine Whitworth, Della Jean West, Kathleen Perez, Betty Lucille Branscum, Vivian Broyles and Hazel Maureen Day.

Linda is survived by a host of many nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

The family of Linda would like to extend their gratitude and a special appreciation to the caring staff at Grandview Health Care Center for the untiring dedication to the quality and care they provided to Linda as well as to the other residents there.
