Loretta Canaday nee Hughes, 80 of Union passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012 in Washington.

Mrs. Canaday, daughter of George Hughes and wife Melissa nee Loving was born May 26, 1932 in Cayugo, Indiana.

On June 25, 1950 she was united in marriage to Harold Canaday in Cayuga, Indiana. She was a faithful member of the Word of Life Church of the Nazarene in Union.

Mrs. Canaday was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Diana Fae Canaday; two brothers, Everett Hughes and Carlous Hughes and two sisters, Drucilla Spencer and Lucy Reed.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Canaday of Union; two sons, Paul Canaday and wife Shirley of Mount Zion, IL and Darrell Canaday and wife LaVonne of Lee Summit, MO; three daughters, Patricia Harris and husband Phil of Olympia, Washington, Bonnie Sandlin and husband Kevin of Breman, Alabama and Connie Daud and husband Gary of Union; two brothers, Kenneth Hughes of Cayuga, Indiana and Joe Hughes and wife Dottie of Zellwood, IL; three sisters, LaDonna Switzer of Cayuga, Indiana, Norah Lee Naylor of Cayuga, Indiana and Izetta Barker of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
