Leroy "Dean" Smith, of St. Clair, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the age of 64.  The son of Monna Lou (Kimbler) Cramer, he was born in Salem Oregon, on June 18, 1961

He was united in marriage to Teresa Ann Schneiter, on October 3, 1980. They shared more than forty-three years of marriage before Teresa's passing on June 14, 2024.

Dean was employed at Hodges Badge Company in Washington for more than twenty years before his retirement in 2023. Whether hunting for deer, fishing for bass or playing golf, he always enjoyed being outdoors. Some of his most cherished times were floating on the river, playing video games with his grandchildren and making people laugh. His children will always remember him for his fun and goofy nature, doing anything to make you laugh.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Teresa Smith; his mother, Monna Lou Cramer; and his two sisters, Carolyn Darlene Smith and Beverly Jean Smith.

Dean is survived by his two sons, Michael Smith and significant other Ginger Johnson of Tennessee, Robert Smith of St. Clair; five daughters, Elisha Smith of St. Clair, Brittany Smith of Tennessee, Erica Goldstein and husband Andrew of Moscow Mills, Nicole Buffer and husband Zachary of St. Clair, Ashley Littrell and husband Cody of St. Clair; nine grandchildren, Brooklyn Brower, Braiden Firebaugh, Nathan Willi, Abby Willi, Bailey Littrell, Benson Littrell, Jason Stokes, Emily Stokes and Ethan Garver; two sisters, Linda Smith and Judy Smith; other relatives and many friends.
