Leonard E. Panhorst, 80 of Washington passed away Friday, June 24, 2016 in Washington.

Mr. Panhorst, son of the late Louis Panhorst and wife Edna nee Roessner was born February 18, 1936 in Gerald, Missouri.

On November 22, 1978 he was united in marriage to Julia DuBuque in St. Louis.

Mr. Panhorst was a member of St. Peters, United Church of Christ in Washington.

He was employed for the City of St. Louis at the Forest Park Golf Course for 43 years.

He enjoyed planting and growing flowers at his home and was known for having a beautiful yard.

Mr. Panhorst was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Edna Panhorst and one brother, Harley Panhorst.

He is survived by his wife Julia Panhorst of Washington; three children, Edward Liebel II and wife Donna of Marietta, CA, Lois Barber and husband Stan of Kingston, WA and Sharon Trimble and husband Doug of St. Peters; one brother, Richard (Betty) Panhorst of New Haven; two sisters, Elda Rolfing of Gerald and Laverne Raaf of Gerald; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
