Leonard Meiners, 83 of St. Clair passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at his home.

Mr. Meiners, son of the late Leonard B. Meiners and wife Frances nee Litteken was born June 25, 1929 in St. Louis.

He served his country in United States Marine Corp during the Korean War.

He was a master Plumber owning and operating Meiners Plumbing Company, Midwest Piping and Meiners Heating and Cooling in St. Louis.

He was a former Grand Knight, K of C in St. Clair, writer/poet and dedicated Philanthropist.

On May 2, 1952 he was united in marriage to his first wife Florence Landgraf in Normandy Missouri.

On September 15, 1984 he was united in marriage his second wife Joanne nee Charron in Normandy, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Florence Meiners; his second wife, Joanne Meiners; two grandchildren, Kristen Schwab and Christopher Cormier.

Mr. Meiners is survived by five children, Linda Hutton and husband Daniel of Eolia, MO, Theresa Linek and husband Bill of St. Louis, Stephen Meiners and wife Debra of St. Clair, Paul Meiners and wife Carolyn of Columbia and Lisa Schwab and husband Jack of St. Charles; three step children, Debra Meiners and husband Stephen of St. Clair, Cheryl Martin and husband Mitchell of St. Charles and Kenneth Cormier and wife Sherry of Troy; twenty-five grandchildren, Daniel Hutton, Jr. and wife Stephanie, Christopher Hutton and wife Mary, Kate Gift and husband Chris, Alexandria Linek, Jacob Linek, Matthew Schwab, Andrew Schwab, Nick Schwab, Ben Meiners, Joel Meiners, Grace Meiners, Beth Meiners, Michaela Meiners, Addo Meiners, Bryan Archambault, Randy Hollocher, Stephen Meiners, Jr. and wife Julia, Bridgette Todisman-Gerrein and husband Steve, Phillip Collins, Marie Cormier, Nicole Ruiz and husband Jose, Michael Martin, Eric Young, Taylor Cormier and Branden Cormier; nine great grandchildren, Ellie Hutton, Buddy Hutton, Keith Meiners, Arial McQueen, Royal Todisman, Mary Rose Todisman, Aedan Meiners, Camilla Ruiz and Sofia Ruiz; other relatives and many friends.
