Lee Roy Wideman, 62, of St. Clair, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri.

Born on August 29, 1963, in Washington, Missouri, Lee was the son of Leroy Wideman and Ann (Bigley) Wideman. Throughout his life, Lee dedicated himself to serving others. As a paramedic for more than 30 years, he compassionately cared for people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. His commitment to helping others made a lasting impact on countless families and members of the community.

On August 27, 1988, Lee married Diana "DeDe" George in St. Clair, Missouri. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, and caring for others.

Beyond his career, Lee had many passions. He enjoyed collecting toys, baseball cards, and metal tractors, and was an avid model railroad enthusiast. He spent years researching and documenting an extensive family tree for the Wideman and George families, preserving a legacy that will benefit generations to come.

Lee was also incredibly talented and creative. He enjoyed cross-stitching and was a gifted woodworker, crafting everything from children's toys to beautiful custom furniture. His patience, skill, and attention to detail were evident in every project he completed.

Whether he was caring for a patient, building something with his hands, tracing family history, or loving the time spent with family and laughing, Lee poured his heart into everything he did. He leaves behind a legacy of service, craftsmanship, knowledge, and love.

Lee is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Diana "DeDe" (George) Wideman of St. Clair; his sons, Chad Wideman of St. Clair and Timothy Wideman of St. Louis; his brother, Erick (Renae) Wideman of Sullivan; nieces Samantha Wideman and Brianna Ackert, brother-in-law, Mark George of St. Clair; mother-in-law, Mary (Charles Northcutt) George of Washington; sister-in-law, Dixie Banderman of Lonedell; and aunt, Janie Moore of Florida, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Ann (Bigley) Wideman, twin brothers; Terry and Jerry Wideman, and his sisters-in-law, Linda Lewis and Debbie Muehlenbein.

Lee will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
