Larry James Paxton, of Union, Missouri, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the age of 82.  He was born on January 16, 1942, in Wichita, Kansas, to the union of James and Vera (Baker) Paxton.

Although Larry had many professions in his lifetime, his favorite was when he worked as a reserve police officer in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, James and Vera Paxton: one son, David Paxton; one sister, Sharon Paxton.

He is survived by his wife, Norma (Bennett) Paxton of Union, Missouri; one daughter, Paula Fisher of Colorado Springs, Colorado: one son, Chris Paxton and wife Renee of Villa Ridge, Missouri; four grandchildren, Marlie Paxton, Christine Sweeney, Kammie Fisher, Kevin Fisher; five great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Those wishing to attend the graveside service are encouraged to arrive at the cemetery by 1:45 p.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2024
