Larry Lloyd Mangrum, 77, of St. Clair, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022, at his family home in the comforting presence of his loving family.
On March 24, 1945. Larry was born at the family home to the union of Alfred Lloyd Mangrum and Nellie (Strode) in Pemiscot County, Missouri.
Larry was a graduate from Caruthersville High School.
He worked for Roadway Trucking for over 20 years.
Larry owned and operated All Star Electronics in Eureka, Missouri. He was a member of the CB Organization as well as the St. Louis County Sherriff's Association.
On April 25, 1964, Larry was united in marriage to Donna Robinson in St. Louis.
Larry was a family man and especially loved spending time with grandchildren. He enjoyed taking them to the rodeo and showing them how to mow the lawn. He was always on the move and kept busy. Larry was also enjoyed tinkering around on different projects. In his younger years he had a passion for fast cars and would regularly trade vehicles for each new model year, his favorite was the Corvette. Most of all, Larry loved his family very much and he will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Mangrum and Nellie Jeffers; four brothers, Tony Jeffers, Russell Jeffers, Harold Jeffers and Richard Jeffers; one sister, Alice-Emma Jeffers.
Larry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donna Mangrum of St. Clair; one son, Buck Mangrum of St. Clair; one daughter, Jeanne Mangrum and husband Manny of St. Clair; three sisters, Joyce Carnahan of Macon, Patricia Glasford of Caruthersville and Pam Dial and husband Don of Caruthersville; six grandchildren, Linell Joseph Brinson and significant other Ashley Marquez of St. Clair, Madison Brinson of St. Clair, Collin, Adrian, Audrey and Bryce; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial donations are appreciated to Alzheimer's Association .
