Larry D. Jones, 79 of Washington passed away Friday, June 5, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Jones, son of Norman Jones and wife Edith (Hardin) was born December 1, 1940 in Paducah, Kentucky.

Larry was united in marriage to Janice Hutchens, celebrating 53 years together.

He served his country in the United States Navy as a Navy Corpsman stationed with the Marines.

He was a member of the Eagles Club in Pacific and United Auto Workers Union. He worked at Chrysler for 32 years until his retirement in 2000.

He was an avid Karaoke Singer, enjoyed playing guitar, fishing and growing a home garden. He never missed an opportunity to attend his grandchildren's sporting events and dance recitals.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Edith Jones; one brother, Jewel Jones and one sister, Jean Powell.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Jones of Washington; four children, Larry Dale Jones Jr. and wife Paula of Paducah, KY, J.R. Jones and wife Sonya of Washington, Tanya Jones of St. Clair and Dalton Jones and wife DeTrisha of Washington; two brothers, Joe Jones and Jerry Jones both of Paducah, KY; one sister, Joyce Bonds and husband William of Smithland, KY; seven grandchildren, Corey Jones, Genesis Jones, Andrew Jones, Zachary Clifton, Alecia Jones, Jacob Clifton and Elizabeth Jones; four great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society are preferred.
