Kelly Dean Gaither, 74 of Union passed away November 28, 2013 at his home.

Mr. Gaither, son of the late Alva Gaither and wife Lela nee Barks was born June 6, 1939 at Hartzell, Missouri.

On June 6, 1964 he was united in marriage to Marilyn Doeding in Bremen, Illinois. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Villa Ridge. Mr. Gaither was a member of the Teamsters Local 600 in St. Louis and worked for Roadway Trucking as a dock hand and as a local driver for 35 years until his retirement. He was a skilled woodworker making various types of furniture from his home. He also liked to garden and eat breakfast with friends at the local cafe.

Mr. Gaither was preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Lela Gaither and two brothers, Gary Wayne Gaither and Boyd Dewann Gaither.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Gaither of Union; his daughter, Shelley Sullivan and twin grandchildren, Caleb Sullivan and Alyssa Sullivan all of St. Clair; two brothers, Don Gaither and wife Mary of Warrenton and Gale Gaither and wife Gean of Advance, MO.; nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews; brother-in-law; sisters-in-law; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
