Kathryn Lyn (Knope) Meyer of Union, MO was born September 17, 1940 in Coulterville, IL; the daughter of Kenneth Knope and his wife, Vivian (Owens). She was also the stepdaughter of Arlin (Sarge) Voss. Kathryn passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024 at the age of 83 years.

Kathryn received her education from the Coulterville School District and was united in marriage to David Meyer on July 3, 1964. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Union, MO. Kathryn enjoyed bowling and gardening. She loved being outdoors and would spend most of her time at her pond or swimming pool. Kathryn loved Christmas, decorating her tree, and displaying her Christmas village. Most of all, she appreciated the time spent with her beloved family and friends, and she will be greatly missed.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, David (Gene) Meyer; her parents: Kenneth Knope and Vivian (Arlin) Voss; one son, David W. Meyer; and one brother, Vernon Knope.

She is survived by one son, Kenny Meyer of Washington; one daughter, Paula Daffron of Union; six grandchildren: Nick Meyer, Rachel Davis and husband Keith, Brendan Meyer, Zach Daffron, Josh Meyer and wife Josie, and Drew Meyer; four great-grandchildren: Karter Davis, Kameron Davis, Alayna Meyer, and Kye Meyer; one sister-in-law, Patty Knope of Nashville, Il; and many other relatives and friends.
