Karla Jo Arnold, age 54, of Richwoods, Missouri, passed away on June 20, 2026, at her home surrounded by the familiarity and comfort of the place she loved.

She was born on November 22, 1971, in St. Louis, Missouri, to James Lee Houston and Patricia Ann Houston. Karla was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend whose caring nature touched the lives of many. She dedicated much of her working life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Med Tech in the healthcare field, where her compassion and kindness made a lasting difference.

Karla was united in marriage to John Arnold.

She is survived by her husband, John Arnold of Richwoods; her mother, Patricia “Pat” Houston of Lonedell; her children, Zachary Arnold and wife Kayla of Richwoods, Brittney Arnold of Union, and Alexis Arnold of Richwoods; her brother, Matt Houston and wife Pam of Rolla; her beloved grandchildren, Brayden, Kylie, Liam, Cooper, Maverick, Zoey, Valerie, Ava, Zane, Skye, and Serenity; and sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Short and husband Bill of Sullivan. She also leaves behind many aunts, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Lee Houston.
