Julia "Julie" Ann (Kluba) Lackey, 72, of St. Clair passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at her home.

Julia, daughter of Felix Kluba Sr. and wife Anna (Manhart) was born July 31, 1946 in Washington.

On March 5, 1984 she was united in marriage to Eugene C. Lackey Sr. in Union.

As a well-seasoned traveler, she enjoyed traveling and seeing many parts of the United States. She enjoyed fishing the local rivers, playing card games and spending time with friends and family especially her grand babies.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents, Felix Sr. and Anna Kluba and five brothers, Jerome Kluba, Merald Kluba, John Kluba, Maurice Kluba and Francis Kluba.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene C. Lackey Sr. of St. Clair; five children, Jimmy Garthoeffner and wife Christy of St. Clair, Debbie Wiedner and husband John of St. Clair, Michelle VanNess and significant other Greg Benton of St. Clair, SFC Eugene C. Lackey Jr. and wife Tiffany of Deridder, LA and Heather Lackey of St. Clair; one brother, Felix Kluba and wife Mary of Beaufort; one sister, Geri Homeyer and husband Tom of Union; five grandchildren, Karissa, Keira, Ethan, Willow and Luna; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations to the American Heart Association are preferred.
