Obituary

Jon Hogan, 64 of Leander, Texas passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in Cedar Park, Texas.

Mr. Hogan, son of the late Jack Hogan and wife Carol nee Dyes was born October 11, 1948 in St. Louis. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era as an Airman 3rd Class receiving an honorable discharge for his service.

During service he received USAF Marksmanship Ribbon and Vietnam Era Service Ribbon. He earned a black belt in Kobudo Karate, Kubudo Merit Award and Rank Promotion from Brown Belt 3 to Brown Belt 1. Received Kobudo student of the year awards for 2008 and 2009.

Mr. Hogan also earned Texas State Supreme Court Certified Court Reporter award and certification.

He served as an Elder at "Our Savior" Lutheran Church in Rockwall, Texas and attended St. John's College Academy in Winfield, Kansas for the purpose of studying for the Lutheran Ministry from 1964 to 1966. Mr. Hogan was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his girlfriend, Vicky Windham of Leander, Texas; one brother, Steve Hogan of California; one sister, Barbie Miles of Colorado; other relatives and many friends.
