Johnny Ray Herbert of Gerald, MO peacefully passed away Friday, October 25, 2024, at the age of 52 years.  Johnny was born September 21, 1972, in St. Louis, MO; the son of Harry Herbert and Cynthia (Craig) Gilbert.

Johnny honorably served four years in the United States Marine Corps and a year and a half in the United States Army.  In his younger years, he enjoyed playing sports especially baseball and basketball. Johnny loved being outdoors and riding his motorcycle and bicycle. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Johnny will be buried at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis, MO with full military honors at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 4, 2024.

He is survived by his parents, Cindy Gilbert of Marthasville, and Harry Herbert of Gerald; one brother, Brian Herbert and significant other, Holly McDaniel of Gerald; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
