Johnnie Dean Bay, 80 of St. Clair passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 in Washington. Mr. Bay, son of the late John Bay and wife Lucy nee Vest was born May 4, 1934 in St. Clair. On July 13, 1986 he was united in marriage to Brenda Ashworth in St. Clair. Mr. Bay proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1955 receiving an honorable discharge for his services. He was of the Christian faith and member of the Good Hope Baptist Church in St. Clair. As a devoted husband and father he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. In his spare time he like to hunt and fish, especially during trout season when the whole family could be involved. Mr. Bay was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucy Bay; one brother, James Eugene Bay and one sister, Diane McCord. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Bay of St. Clair; three sons, Johnnie Bay and wife Cindy of St. Clair, William Ashworth and wife Patricia of St. Clair and Jeremy Bay (Michelle Huellinghoff) of St. Clair; three daughters, Lisa Holden and husband Michael of Lonedell, Michelle Jarvis and husband Cory of Cadet and Deana Sandoval and husband Jesus of St. Clair; one brother, Ronald Bay and wife Connie of Curryville, MO; one sister, Joyce Phillips and husband Ted of St. Clair; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
