John Stanley Vaughn, of New Haven, formerly of Cardwell, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the age of 77.  He was born in Paragould, Arkansas, on August 24, 1948, to the union of Eulus and Mary Helen (Grady) Vaughn.

"Stan", as he was known by family and friends, was known for his athletic abilities during his high school years, earning him a track scholarship from Arkansas State University.

He was most at peace when he was mowing his four acres of lawn or when he had the opportunity to cast a fishing line on the river or in his pond.

Stan is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Pepmueller) Vaughn of New Haven; daughter, Melissa Robbins and husband Johnny of California; grandchildren, Carissa Cundiff and husband Austin of Montana, Sydney Robbins of California; sister, Jo Carol Vaughn of Florida; step-daughter, Beth Ross and husband Ben of Pacific; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eulus and Mary Helen Vaughn; brother, Martin "Marty" Vaughn.
