John W. Molitor, 81 of St. Clair passed away Friday, November 14, 2014 at his home. Mr. Molitor, son of John W. Molitor and wife Geneva nee Aplin was born June 30, 1933 in St. Louis County. On May 28, 1955 he was united in marriage to Shirley Shelton in Brentwood, Missouri and were blessed with three children. Mr. Molitor served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953 receiving an honorable discharge for his faithful service. He was the founder and owner of Pizza Shack in St. Clair and Pizza Pasta & More in Union. He retired with over forty years of restaurant business experience. He was a current member of the Washington Elks Club. As a hobby he like to do woodworking in his shop, building anything from bird houses to china cabinets. He collected coins and enjoyed cooking meals for family and friends. Mr. Molitor was preceded in death by his parents, John and Geneva Molitor. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Molitor of St. Clair; two sons, Jack Molitor and wife Michelle of Washington and Mark Molitor and wife Terry of St. Clair; one daughter, Jill Fitzhugh and husband Walter of Union; one sister, Mary Ellen Williams and husband Mike of St. Ann; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
