John DiFatta, of O’Fallon, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the age of 75. He was born in St Louis, on April 6, 1951, the son of Joseph DiFatta, Sr. and Ethel (Witt) DiFatta.

He was employed through Asbestos Workers Local #1 throughout his working career. In his free time, he was always tinkering with everything that needed his attention, especially car engines. However, his time of relaxation was spent outdoors, camping, fishing, shooting and hunting, or collecting items for his many eclectic collections. He was also a Life Member of the National Rifle Association.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph DiFatta, Sr. and Ethel DiFatta; one brother, Joe Difatta; two sisters, Sandy Karpowicz and Joanne Welch.

He is survived by his daughter, Teresa DiFatta of Farmington; two sisters, Mary Hadley of Villa Ridge and Marcia Souders of Villa Ridge; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many close friends who will dearly miss him.
