John "Pat" Bastunas, 70, of Owensville, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, following a difficult fight with cancer. He was supported through the end of his life by his loving brother, Steven Bastunas, and Sara Woodland.

Pat was born on December 14, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late William Bastunas and Elizabeth (Hubbard) Bastunas. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Billy Bastunas; and sister, Judy Bastunas.

He is survived by his two sons, Patrick (Heather) Bastunas and Matthew Bastunas; and grandchildren, Avery, Brynlee, Caileigh, Dillon, and Charlotte. He is also survived by his brothers, Michael and Steven Bastunas; and his sisters, Jane (John) Sellers and Jo Ann (Douglas) Reuther.

Pat had a long career as an over-the-road truck driver and loved riding his motorcycle, and now he's riding with the wind.
