Joanne Meiners nee Charron, 69 of St. Clair passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. Meiners, daughter of the late Camille Charron and wife Antonia nee DeMartino was born January 15, 1943 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts.

In July, 1960 she married to her first husband Ronald A. Cormier in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. On September 15, 1984 she was united in marriage to Leonard Meiners in Normandy, MO.

Mrs. Meiners owned and operated Alterations by Joanne in St. Charles for 15 years and in St. Clair for 10 years but dedicated a lifetime to the profession. She was a member of the St. Clare Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella in St. Clair and Massachusetts.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald A. Cormier; her parents, Camille and Antonia Charron; one brother, Paul Charron, one grandchild, Christopher Cormier and one step-grandchild, Kristen Schwab.

Mrs. Meiners is survived by her husband, Leonard Meiners of St. Clair; one son, Kenneth Cormier and wife Sherri of Troy; two daughters, Debra Meiners and husband Stephen of St. Clair and Cheryl Martin and husband Mitchell of St. Charles; step-children, Linda Hutton and husband Daniel, Teresa Linek, and husband Bill, Stephen Meiners and wife Debra of St. Clair, Lisa Schwab and husband Jack of St. Charles and Paul Meiners and wife Carolyn of Columbia; five grandchildren, Nicole Ruiz, Phillip Collins, Marie Cormier, Taylor Cormier and Brandin Cormier; step-grandchildren, Daniel Hutton Jr., Christopher Hutton, Katie Hutton, Alexandria Linek, Jacob Linek, Matthew Schwab, Andrew Schwab, Nick Schwab, Ben Meiners, Joel Meiners, Grace Meiners, Beth Meiners, Michaela Meiners, Stephen Meiners Jr. and Bridgette Todisman-Gerrein; great-grandchildren, Camilla Ruiz and Sofia Ruiz; step-great-grandchildren, Keith Meiners, Ariel McQueen, Royal Todisman, Mary Rose Todisman, Ellie Hutton and Chris Hutton; other relatives and many friends.
